MP3 Player

I’ve been looking into getting a new MP3 player.  It’s been a few years since we purchased our 1GB iRiver T30, so I had to get a little bit up to speed on what’s happening in the MP3 player industry.  More than ever, there are so many different brands and different models within brands to make this not an easy decision.  The main features I’m looking for are good quality sound and good battery life.

Anyway, I ended up tossing up between two models within the same brand - the Sandisk Sansa Clip, and the Sandisk Sansa Fuze.  The former is more compact, the latter does video, and both 8GB models are around the same price, making it a hard decision.  At this stage, the compactness of the Clip (pictured) has (I think!) won me over, and I’ve decided to (probably!) go with the 4GB model.  From the review I read comparing it with the iPod shuffle, it walks all over the iPod in the audio quality and battery life departments, as well as offering a few more features.

It’s amazing what they’re sticking in these things these days, and how cheap they are now! - ALR
